Go Print

Apart of the design brief is to design a fabric print.  We do not have to use this on our final swimsuit but we are to show we can make a print and create a pattern.

Let's look at a few Fashion designers which use amazing colour and print in their designs.

Camilla
Camilla’s signature colourful and handmade graphic prints take centre stage in each of her ranges. There is so much detail in each design. Layer upon layer of imagery that creates an explosion of colour. A kaleidoscopic graphic that usually includes a graphic be-jewelled neckline embellished with  swarovski crystal beading. Stunning!! Every girl should own one.

Notice in the image above; the used vivid colours, repeat graphic elements, borders and digital be-jewelled necklines. Camilla Kafthan's draw inspiration for many tribal art. Snake skin and animal print is also featured throughout Camilla's collections.

Here you can see the detail up close in a print from the Camilla ss2011 collection. So detailed. A lot of her prints used repeated graphic elements which she then uses again in different patterns and colours through out the collection and seasons.
